- Basic Aeronautical Knowledge (BAK) textbook. This covers theory required up to the General Flying Progress Test (GFPT) exam
- Pilot's Logbook. All hours flown must be recorded in a logbook
- Aviation Reference Number (ARN) application form. Available free from the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) web site but included in pack. Applied for my ARN on 8/4/13.
- Student Pilot Membership application form. For submission to Recreational Aviation Australia within first few flight lessons.
- Local DAME List. List of Brisbane Designated Aviation Medical Examiners (DAME) who I'll need to see (once ARN is issued to me) for an aviation medical. This is needed to fly solo. Class 2 medical is required for Private Pilots and Class 1 for Commercial Pilots and above.
- SD Memory Card - Could have sourced this myself but included in pack. Used to record video of flight lessons for study review.
- Visual Terminal Chart (VTC) of Brisbane and surrounds - shows aeronautical and topographical information for VFR flights on a scale of 1:250,000.
